Elixir Clinic
Caring for You, Always
While your morning routine focuses on protection, your night skincare routine is dedicated to repair and cellular regeneration. As you sleep, your skin's blood flow increases, and cells repair DNA damage caused by daytime stress. This is the optimal time to apply heavy hydration and active resurfacing treatments.
First, use an oil-based cleanser or micellar water to dissolve makeup and sunscreen. Follow with a water-based clinical cleanser to wash away remaining bacteria and dirt.
Apply your corrective active treatment. Retinoids are highly recommended to speed up cell turnover. Alternatively, use exfoliating acids (Glycolic or Salicylic) 2-3 times a week.
Apply nourishing serums containing peptides or niacinamide to stimulate lipid production and support cellular restructuring.
Seal the active serums with a thick moisturizer containing squalane, gotu kola, and hyaluronic acid to prevent transepidermal water loss overnight.
Never mix Retinol and exfoliating chemical acids (AHA/BHA) in the same night routine, as this can severely compromise your skin barrier, leading to redness, flaking, and irritation. Alternate nights instead.
