Your morning skincare routine is all about defense. Throughout the day, your skin is exposed to UV rays, blue light, smog, and environmental dirt. The goal of your morning regimen is to shield the skin barrier, neutralize free radicals, and provide lightweight hydration.
Use a low-pH, sulfate-free cleanser to wash away sweat and skin oils accumulated during sleep without stripping your natural lipids.
Apply 3-4 drops of Vitamin C (L-Ascorbic Acid or derivatives). This powerful antioxidant neutralizes free radicals from pollution and boosts your sunscreen's UV protection.
Apply a hydrating serum to pull moisture into the cells, keeping your face plump and preventing dry expression lines throughout the day.
Apply a breathable moisturizer. For oily/combination skin, choose gel-creams. For dry skin, use a ceramide-rich lotion.
Apply a generous amount of sunscreen (two-finger rule) over your face and neck. This is the most crucial step of your morning routine.
Allow 1-2 minutes between each step of your morning skincare routine to let the active layers absorb completely before applying the next product. This prevents product pilling, especially under makeup.
